EFFECT OF ESTRADIOL DIPROPIONATE ON UTERINE AND VAGINAL GLYCOGEN CONrEl'\T OF PARKES

ثبت نشده
چکیده

Admi~istration of estradiol dipropionate (20 (J.g/day; for 7 days) to ovariectomized (7 days) mice p:oduced about three fold increase (180%) in uterine glycogen content while approximately four ford decrease (76%) in vaginal glycogen as compared to their control values. Differences in glycogen content after 7 and 14 days of ovariectomy were statistically insignificant in both the organS. AlthClugh estradiol dipr:Jpionate had" great effect on the glycogen content of uterus and vagina but this effect rernahed more or less unchanged after causing alteration in duration (7 and 14 days) of estradiol dipropionate treatment in relation to different time intervals (7 and 14 days) after ovariectomy. So there was no time dependent response in uterine and vaginal glycogen content after 7 days onwards eithor In relation to Ovatiectomy or estradiol dipropionate treatment.

Effects of vaginal progesterone suppository on uterine artery resistance in women with threatened abortion

Introduction: Adequate levels of progesterone and efficient uteroplacental circulatory system are considered as two important factors in maintaining normal pregnancy. Conspicuously, increased vascular resistance in the uterine artery can lead to severe complications including threatened abortion by an impairment to the embryo’s blood supply. Consistency of Effect with a Low-Dose, Estradiol Vaginal Capsule (TX-004HR): Evaluating Improvement in Vaginal Physiology and Moderate-to-Severe Dyspareunia in Subgroups of Postmenopausal Women

BACKGROUND The 12-week, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter, phase 3 REJOICE trial demonstrated that TX-004HR, an investigational, applicator-free, low-dose vaginal softgel capsule containing solubilized 17β-estradiol, effectively and rapidly treats symptoms of vulvar and vaginal atrophy (VVA) with negligible to very low systemic absorption. The aim of this analysis was to...

Effects of tamoxifen on vaginal blood flow and epithelial morphology in the rat

BACKGROUND Tamoxifen, a selective estrogen receptor modulator with both estrogenic and anti-estrogenic activity, is widely used as adjuvant therapy in breast cancer patients. Treatment with tamoxifen is associated with sexual side effects, such as increased vaginal dryness and pain/discomfort during sexual activity. There have been limited investigations of the effect of tamoxifen on estrogen-d...

Uterine and vaginal organ growth requires epidermal growth factor receptor signaling from stroma.

Estrogens are crucial for growth and function of the female genital tract. Recently, we showed that induction of uterine epithelial proliferation by estradiol is a paracrine event requiring an estrogen receptor-positive stroma. Growth factors [such as EGF (epidermal growth factor) ligands] are likely paracrine mediators, which may directly or indirectly regulate epithelial proliferation in estr...
